INDUSTRIAL DEMOS
Three power plants have been used as test locations for the developed membrane modules.
Ruthenberg, Israel
The IEC Ruthenberg Power Station is located at the south coastline of Israel, in Ashkelon. Ruthenberg Power Station consists of two 575 MW coal fired units without FGD started in 1990 and 1991 and two 550 MW coal fired units with FGD started in 2000 and 2001. Each of the 550 MW units produces 1,600,000 Nm³/h flue gas. The test rig is connected to both FGDs outlet ramifications. |

Sines, Portugal
Sines Power Plant is located in the southwest coastline of Portugal, in the Alentejo region, 6km south-east from Sines and about 150km south from Lisbon. It is a conventional pulverised coal-fired power plant with four independent power generator units, each one with a nominal power capacity of 314 MWe (gross) and a flue gas flow of 1,125,000 Nm³/h wet. The first unit started in industrial service in 1985 and the last one in 1989. |
